Our Mission
Our mission is to honor our state’s rich history through enhancing the understanding, appreciation, enjoyment, operation, and accessibility of the Governor’s Mansion in Springfield and the Hayes House in Du Quoin.
The Illinois Governor's Mansion Association is a non-profit board created in 1972 to preserve and oversee the renovation of the Illinois Governor's Mansion. That mission has never been more urgent and is being brought to life through a full renovation of the Governor's Mansion, with a focus on history and art in Illinois and preserving the Mansion for future generations. The renovation is critical so all Illinoisans have the chance to learn about Illinois' history now and in the future.
